Work Bench

I made a work bench this weekend. The “usual” size recommended is 3′ x 6′. Rob M. (one of those wonderful SABC people) suggested making the main table with a 3″ overhang on one end and a side, and to make it a tad longer. I did just that although I added a 1″ overhang on the other sides as well. Using some scrap lyno I’ve made the table top level (both longitudinal and traverse) so hopefully it will be a nice, flat surface to work on.

I also read somewhere about getting some carpet for the top to prevent scratching of the alclad. The lounge room is now minus a floor mat. Fits the new table great!

I wonder if my lovely wife will notice…
